Giving OTC Medicines to Children

As a parent or caregiver, you are in charge of your kids’ health. It’s important to know how to help children feel better when they’re sick and how to give medicines to them safely and just as important, when not to give children medicines. While there are a lot of over-the-counter (OTC) options available to help make your child feel better when he or she has a cold, it is important to remember that oral OTC cough and cold medicine should not be given to children under the age of four.
