Tips for Seniors

Taking care of yourself if you are on many medications or caring for an older parent or other relative presents a number of challenges. It often is up to you to manage multiple medicines, get test results, and drive to doctor appointments.

There is a lot you can do, however, especially where medications are concerned:

If you are caring for a parent or other relative from afar, it can sometimes create an added challenge. To make sure you can help them safely manage their medicines, set up a regularly scheduled call with your loved one to discuss and review medications, medical appointments, and any side effects or symptoms he or she might be having.
